The school was difficult at times, but it really prepares those who want to follow their career with a higher education. The class rigor and expectations are easy to meet, but need to involve work, which builds great skills and character to utilize later in life.

I have found CBNA to be a GREAT school! I give it the highest rating possible!! The climate and culture is positive. What a great family/community feeling. The administration and office staff are always friendly and will do whatever they can to help you. Now, as far as the athletic teams......WOW. Their whole girls athletic programs were considered one of the TOP IN THE COUNTRY last year. Just look at the statistics! Very impressive programs! As far as academics, the expectations are high. When some of these kids were in a public school for middle school and elementary, they were probably given a great deal of support, so they better be ready at CBNA....you will be expected to take initiative and work. If you go out of your way to get help, they will help you. These teachers will not hold your hand and spoon feed you information. Overall, KUDOS TO HEADMASTER! GREAT GREAT SCHOOL!

This school is great. The staff is more than caring about their students excelling in every area they wish. They take every precaution regarding the state laws, such as bullying, which actually has it's own set of rules regarding it, and school policies as well. Athletics are fair and great here. For example, both a girl and a boy have been regcognized as Gateorade Runner of the year. State titles have been won for volleyball, cross country, indoor track, and spring track. Soccer also made it to the final four, for the first time ever. Basketball also made it to the state playoffs. Athletic teams choose the best players for the team, similar to majority of other high schools. Coe Brown is a great school academically and athletically.

I moved to this town for this school and was very disappointed when I had to pull my child out . This school is horrible to deal with. They do what they want and have to answer to no one as they are considered a private school and the state has no control over them. My child was bullied by students and their bulling rules only apply when they want them to and to whom they want. The athletic program is a popularity contest, leaving out truly talented players so that popular kids have spots on the team. Explains why none of the athletes go on to play at college. So glad I took my child out who is now thriving and excelling at the new school.

great place to learn. A private school education with tuition paid for locals. I moved from East Chicago my Junior year and this school helped make the transition that much easier. The teachers give and recieve respect from students.

We have the best of both worlds--a public school in that we tuition in students from surrounding towns and a private school in that we are one of 3 remaining academies in NH. We have a head master, board of trustees and rules which are to be followed or face approiate consequences!

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school's profile?

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
