Poor overall quality of education. Does not make the top 150 schools in the state even though the total student population averages only between 150 and 160 children. Below average test scores. After two years I removed both of my children from the school.
This is my daughter's third year at RGS and we have loved it! It's small enough that she knows all of the kids (not just in her grade- literally almost ALL of them) and that creates a teamwork type of environment that is very conducive to learning. The school is proactive about preventing things like bullying and exclusion, and the teachers, staff and after school program are incredible... But what really makes RGS stand above other local schools is the principal and her dedication to the students and the curriculum. Ms. Lucas really goes above and beyond in creating a wonderful learning environment. We love RGS!
They have great teachers that taught my children well. The quality of the education was excellent. My children were happy to go to school there and had many friends. The school was the center of the young adult community, and brought together the town.
