The school offers comprehensive courses for all level of students. Ridge offers a significant number of Advance Placement courses. The teachers are knowledgable and available to the students. There is also a wide range of extra curricular activities. Students should be able to find some activity that suits them

It's a great school, but the only down fall is that many of my friends transfere to other private schools from middle school and throughout high school, which does hurt athletics if you want to look at it that way. Otherwise it is a great school with 21-26 person classes

I am a graduate of Ridge High School and it was one of the most amazing schools. While there are a few teachers who do not challenge their students, the majority work at getting the students to achieve. Ridge offers the most AP courses out of any of the high schools that my friends in college attended and prepares it's students extremely well for college work load. It also has amazing college matriculation and the guidance counselors really want their students to succeed.

This school is terrible. The teachers do not strive to teach the students, all the students do is take notes and watch videos. The sports programs are very dissatisfactory due to the lack of coaches. Lastly, my child is always told to take drugs.

High test scores and excellent college matriculation. Most teachers are willing to help but some wait to be retired, do nothing at classroom, students watch video month long! vivido

My daughter will be a sophomore in Ridge next year. I have only positives to say about the school. My daughter loved all of her teachers, the academic challenge is excellent, sports and extra-curricular excellent as well. We have been considering relocating down South but have decided to stay here until my daughter graduates. The education at Ridge is second to none. I am an educator in another district and I have seen many schools over the years; Ridge is the best I have come across.

My daughter currently attends Ridge High School, she is freshman. My older daughter went to Ridge, they both have everything but negative remarks about the school. Extra help was always available, and the majority of the teachers were helpful to all of the students. The school is competitive, and the environment is mostly positive as long as the students stays in the right group of friends. Academic grades are important to the students, and many students have the motivation and the drive to succeed!

The academic competition at Ridge was amazing. I was only an okay student in high school, and I didn t understand the extent of RHS education until I went off to college, were I saw high school valedictorians struggling through introductory level college classes. RH students are driven by the expectation of success. While some high schools promote the view students who go off to college, RHS assumes students will continue on to college, and treated the several Ivy League acceptances the same as any other acceptance. I remember a wall case near the front office that had students list their college acceptances and where they were going to attend. The case was more prominent than any athletic trophy case.

Concerning academics, Ridge High School is extremely superior to most other schools in New Jersey. However, when comparing Ridge's diversity to others, it completely inferior. Although the school has a few assemblies and programs concerning race relations, as an African American graduate of the school, I had an overall great experience because of the few devoted and excellent teachers that I encountered and the wonderful opportunites that were presented to me.
