I attended East Mountain for my last 2 years of High school and I am so glad I did. I was suffering from substance abuse problems and depression. At the rate I was going, I was not going to graduate. I attribute my success to attending EMS. The school offers extremely small, individualized classes and a number of activities and clubs you wouldn't expect from such a small private school. They show a movie every friday afternoon on a huge projection screen in the school's amphitheatre. Its a great way to end the school week. I'm very smart, and with all the academic and emotional support this school offered me, I was able to reach my potential with a 4.0 GPA. The school assigns every student a counselor. They REALLY help you. They are not like other schools and programs that tell you that you will get a counselor and then you never see one. Your counselor meets with you at least an hour a week, and any other time you need. I developed a very strong relationship with my counselor at EMS. I graduated 3 years ago now (and got a diploma from my public HS) and I am about to graduate nursing school. Thank you EMS!!!

The teachers and staff at East Mountain are extremely supportive and willing to work with your child's individual style and needs. Students get academic and emotional support combined.
