E. Roy Bixby Elementary School

My son is in 3rd grade at this school, so far I absolutely love it, the teachers are very responsible and good, plus they get involved if any issues arrise to the point of almost becoming a parent themselves.

I am a parent of two children at this school and have a very mixed review. While the school has worked very well for one child who requires special learning support, it is simply failing the other who is exceptionally bright and eager to learn. The principal, teachers and other support staff have been exceptional in addressing the needs of our child requiring special learning support. They meet with us regularly and are responsive to our concerns and our child's needs. Conversely, our other child is essentially being overlooked because it seems the teachers have no time to provide differential learning opportunities for children above the curve. There are exceptional teachers at this school, dedicated to children and their academic success. Unfortunately, others simply watch children pass through their classes without offering them an opportunity to learn at a level consistent with their intellectual talent.

this school is good but at the same time not good. the teachers are good. but they can get a little carried away sometimes. they can still do better..

I have two children in Bixby, and they are doing well they like the school a lot and have made some really nice friends. My daughter did have a problem with some of the kids in her class, I spoke with the teacher and she took care of the situation efficiently and discretely. I like this school and would recommend it to anyone.
