Both of my children attend this school. The security is good as far as locking doors, etc. The christian education is OK but they have no memory of scripture verses. I would call it a more secular christian school. .

Look elsewhere. While this school does have a good academic program, it lacks everywhere else. Low on Christian values, high on gossip, low on student morale. Not a positive educational experience.

I currently have 2 children in STCA. I am extremely happy with the education my kids have received-the classes are small, so the kids get a lot of 'one on one' attention, unlike some of the other private schools in the area that have more than 30 kids in a class! My kids are in a safe, loving environment, and enjoy going to school. STCA is also offering a wider variety of after school activities. I would recommend this school-the teachers really care about the kids and want them to learn!

STCA focuses on the children's education, not on how many musical instruments they can play. The teachers are all there because they love teaching and this fills the students with a desire to learn. Every child in the 2007 graduating class went into competitively ranked high schools like Monsenior Donovan and St. Roses' Academy and honors programs. The new Administrative director is a nationally recognized administrator for christian academies. STCA doesn't have a shiny new gym, but they do have a proven academic program which produces outstanding results year after year. My two children are thoroughly happy with the school.

St Thomas Christian Academy is lacking in many areas of its' fellow Parochial Schools. Small music program. Few classes available outside the basics of education. What is does offer is far from the other schools. Tuition is pricey when compared to other schools for a smaller offering. The buildings and grounds are subpar, again when compared to what else is around in the Parochial Schools. Resources are not as readily available to this school. This is a gamble with your child's education for sure. Look elsewhere for a better bang for your buck when it comes to education and all around educational experience. Much better available.
