The teachers tend to go above and beyond the normal class day. My daughter's teachers are always available to answer my questions help with extra tutoring and even emotional support. I have never encountered a more dedicated staff than that of Stackhouse School. The thought process is involvement not just the parents and families but the community as well. The only thing I see lacking in the school is parental involvement but I guess when things are going great parents do not feel they need to be involved. But the school does welcome parental involvement with open arms. Also, they tell you the truth and do not pull any punches with telling what needs to happen to improve the problems.

In my oppion i feel that stackhouse school is a great school. The teachers really care about the students. The principle is more than happy to help and always makes time to speak with a parent about any problems or concerns you may have. I have a son who is in the special education program and i am very happy with it. The child study team is wonderful and very very helpfull with any and all questions and concerns. For any parent who has a child with learning difficulties this school distric is great as it is for students without difficulties. Sometimes i feel that new jersey tends to push the students to much as far as testing but overall i guess the proof is in the pudding. The music program is great to. Every year they have a christmas and a spring show and the kids love it.

After taking a big step to moving to a place that I've never heard of, as a parent I was very concerned about my daughters and the big transformation that they would have to make. But after enrolling my daughter into the JSS school, now going on 4 years this coming August, I'm very happy with the results that I've seen in my 8 year old. She received all the extra help with her reading, and the school even provided after school tutoring for her math. My daughter is a good reader and has improved tremendously in her math. I owe it all to her teachers for putting in the extra time and effort that they did to prepare them for exams. It's a great school and I look forward for my younger daughter to attend when she turns 5. Good school, good staff and clean.
