My son attended Kindergarten at Stockton. There was no orientation whatsoever. It was cancelled due to asbestos abatement which I found out by walking past the entrance to his classroom and seeing the red sign and plastic all over my son's soon-to-be classroom. We were jut told to bring himin on the first day. We never had an opportunity to speak with his teachers beforehand. My son has an IEP and there was no contact before the first day of school from either teacher. We were told "no news is good news" when we inquired about how he was doing by his teacher. My daughter will have an 8 day kindergarten orientation in the district we are now in. Not even close to being 5 star or 10/10, especially considering the taxes one pays to be on the district and specifically in Stockton. Average school. Even if we did not move we would have pulled him out. Principal was the lone bright spot for us. Very nice and involved.

A forward thinking principal, an extremely active PTA and engaged teachers and staff make for an excited and well educated student body. A wonderful place to send our kids.

Richard Stockton Elementary is a model school as far as I'm concerned. The teachers genuinely care for the children and they strive for the best atmosphere for every student. The teachers are extremely active in PTA events which allows the students to see them outside of the classroom. The PTA at Stockton works hard to provide supplies and programs to benefit the children and complement the outstanding education which they receive from such hard working teachers. The support staff is very much a part of the Stockton family; they all know they children and care for the environment in a positive and genuine way. I am delighted to be a part of such a wonderful school community.

Very High Quality School. Lots of opportunity for parent involvement in class & with the PTA functions. Test scores for NJASK always very strong for the district. Really nice school to send your kids to. Music available in 4th and 5th.
