The parent who posted April 27th must surely be thinking of a different school. I have never before been involved in a school system with such a lack of interest, leadership and who are so bereft of vision. They are unwilling to acknowledge and correct the problems with the overcrowded calssrooms and rambunctious students; they would rather blame it on the children. Parental involvement, teacher participation and empowerment could also use some vitamin power here. There is not ONE teacher involved in the PTA. Isn't that statement enough ?

My experience with the middle school has been wonderful. My child belongs to the debate team and the yearbook committee. Teachers are always available by phone, conference, or email. Maybe the parents who are complaining are simply finding that thier children are not adjusting to the choices that the middle school offers. Encourage your child to join clubs ot sports. All teachers offer extra help - take advantage of it. You can and should help your child find their way - but ultimately, they must start taking on more responsibility for their achievements.

I totally agree with the comment that the 'School is lacking in many areas'sadly disagree with the comment (Which sounds like something one of the teachers who are non-parentental involement would say) kids in this school are just a number, another face lets get through the year and push them though just like an assembly line! Children develop at their own pace and nobody Knows their child better than the parent and as long as my child is considered a 'minor' a school should work with the parents in any and all aspects,This is why so many American children lack the support they need to succeed not only in school but in life.A sence of Family support is key to development.Any teacher who dosen't understand that should find another career, and away from my child unfortunatly sums up alot of the teachers at this school!

This school is amazing! It has a wonderful faculty and staff that are very dedicated to the students. The population if this school is diverse: many ethnicities, religions, learning abilities, and language skills. The students are all catered to and cared for. My daughter is thriving in the middle school and had a very wonderful and respectful group of friends. Her academic confidence is growing daily and she is bringing home excellent grades and sharing meaningful experiences. She is also involved in sports and drama club!

I think this school is okay.It may not be the best, but it is not the worst. There are a lot of activities and programs. They also have classes for students that need help and for those who re above regular classes.

Worst school ever! It is too late for improvements and is led by weak-minded teachers. Absolutely no discipline. My daughter became involved with bad children. In my opinion, if you have the money to, send your child to a catholic school or private school. Anywhere but Cliffside! The entire school system is corrupt!

The quality of the program I would give them a 5 (from 1-10). There is no extracurricular activities for the kids in pre-K or kindergarten The after school program is run by an outside organization. There is an PTA in the school, their activities and initiatives are very limited. The Principal is always available to discuss any school issues w/parents.
