Robbinsville High School- top in the county NOT West Windsor... Love it here. Went to Steinert in 1986 it wasn't good then is worse now the bullying is horrendous in Hamilton altogether and ignored.
I am a student here and am appalled by the reviews on the site, which could not be further from the truth. Steinert is a strong school academically, offering 9 AP courses, and has produced a Supreme Court justice, as well as several politcians. Emphasis on academics is strong, but there is plenty of balance. The soccer and baseball teams are historically among the best in the state, and the football and wrestling are beginning to compete for state championships. Dahntay Jones was a high-school All-American at Steinert. The music and arts department is also very strong, usually cleaning out the district and county competitions. The staff is relatable and approachable.
The last man standing in hamilton, and won't be for long. Anyone who would move to Hamilton for the schools is a fool. They might as well send their children to Trenton, it will be cheaper with the same results.
We moved here because this was the school to go to in hamilton. After talking with parents and finding out : How bad the drug problems are there. How hard the children clicks were How bad the teacher\principle support How they keep flunking State tests Better and more opportunities exist in other schools Sorry we moved there.
I can not get what all the excitement about this school is. Although, my children haven't attended, from what I am hearing...IT'S NOT THAT GREAT! If you want great schools, go to the Princeton, West Windsor area. It's unbelievable that realtors will list a house stating "in the Steinert district". And that people will actually move to another house within Hamilton, just so their kids can attend. How about giving the other two schools in the district a look????
This school is located in a great community, but the school itself is not that great. The teachers are lazy and because the school is crowded the classrooms are packed and hectic. This not only causes students not to pay attention, but the students themselves don't get individual attention. It's a really a shame.
its my first year at steinert, and i absolutely hate it. the kids are all too stuck up and dramatic. the teachers are boring and never want to teach.
Had no support from VP she was horrible to deal with and did not even attempt my child through a difficult time she was rude and abrupt. The school itself is lacking.
As a former student of the school, I really have nothing good to say about the school. Teacher's don't want to teach and make their courses around that, which is rather evident in students getting high marks who sleep through the school day. Due to leniency by most of the staff, teachers who do try and do their jobs are referred to derogatorily. My brother, currently a freshman over at Steinert, just transferred from the Burlington school system. He's already taken every major academic course he currently takes.
My daughter is a senior this year and has received a remarkable education. She is very active in several extra curricular activites through school. I couldn't have asked for a better high school experience for her.
I am a student at this school and a cross country runner. The academec courses that this school offers are excellent. However, there is too much emphases put on football and baseball while sports such as cross country are neglected.
My daughter went through four years at Steinert, and I think it's a great school. There are so many different types of courses that great programs can be designed for any student. The arts program is wonderful, and there are even 2 jazz bands. Sports is very important there, with football and baseball at the top of the list. You can't go wrong sending your child to Steinert.
I was a student a Steinert High School and I thought that it was great. The best thing I liked about Steinert was the teachers. They are starting to bring in younger, energetic, and eager to teach teachers. It makes a huge difference on how much your children will enjoy/learn depending on their teacher. The teachers were very friendly, the students were great, and if I have to rate it 1 to 5 I would rate it 4 1/2. They helped me out greatly, with school and personal issues as well. They really care about their students. And that is what makes Steinert the most desirable high school in Hamilton Twp.
I went to Steinert many years ago. Even though my college experience was good, it didn't compare with my experience at SHS. Many fond memories of fellow students and teachers that are unsurpassed. I still have nephews attending this school and they have excelled with the education they are getting at SHS. My wife and I are both alumni and our children never attended SHS because we move out of state. However, I would have been happy for them to attend SHS if we had not moved.
When I attended this school (7 years ago), it was poorly run. The biggest hurdle was getting teacher's to support an inquisitive mind. The faculty/staff had a complacent attitude.
