Leonia Middle School

This is an excellent school that helps students strive to do their best in all subjects and also emotionally, physically, and spiritually. As a past student, I highly recommend this school as well as its teachers and staff. I now attend Bergen Academies, a top magnet high school in the country.

I am very pleased to see the proactive measures taken by the administration in regards to past discipline issues. I can frankly say that I am thrilled with the level of education and rigor at the school.

Although the portfolio classes are quite good, the regular classes are boring and some of the teachers act as though they don't like teaching. The pricipal treats the children like prisoners.

As a whole, I feel it is a good school with some wonderful teachers that truly inspire and love teaching. This year the principal has changed and there have been some new rules that have been implemented.

I consider LMS has a good curriculum for students, and also provide a safe environment for students. I do not have major complaints

Kids generally come from the Leonia public elementary school and are not prepared well for the Middle School environment. Academics are up to grade level with nothing special compared to ACS. Discipline at the school is lacking and creates a hard environment for the kids to learn. My child did not find enough extra curricular activities other than sports.

this is a beautiful school building. The principal is as nice as can be and they seem to be doing great work in the classrooms.

LMS has done wonders for my child. The teachers, guidance dept, and case workers in the school have turned a failing student into a student that now brings home A's and B's. They really do care!
