Having been a teacher for 25 years in a local public school system, I know how vitally important it is for children to have the proper learning environment. My granddaughter is in her second year of nursery school at COTKA, and she is thriving. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and peaceful. The staff is comprised of accomplished educators who work in harmony with one another. They nurture students and help them develop skills in a positive and productive manner, while addressing individual learning styles. Parent-teacher communication flows smoothly, and a variety of family oriented activities are plentiful throughout the year. I believe my granddaughter is receiving a solid academic and personal foundation on which to build her life.

My son attended Children of the King from Pre-K through third grade. I am thoroughly pleased with the outstanding academic foundation he received, especially in reading and math. He has excelled beyond my expectations in all academic areas. Even more important, the wholesome values and behaviors that are taught and reinforced at every grade level have enabled my child to go forward with a solid understanding of right/wrong, and a healthy attitude of respect for himself and others. This a personal, family-oriented school, with highly skilled and nurturing teachers. The staff is here for love of children and teaching only. I am convinced there is no better choice for a child's first school experience.

I am more than pleased with my daughter going to Children of the King. She has been a student there for 2-1/2 years and adores all of her teachers and fellow students. They teach her about love and respect for each other as well as all adults. She has learned so much academically. However whats really important to me is they have been teaching her about good christian values, stories from the Bible and learning to say prayers. She is the boss at home when we say blessings.

Despite a wonderful teacher that my child had, I highly discourage anyone from sending their child to this school. Teachers are constantly coming and going.

We went to this school only for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. We were very happy with the Kindergarten. Miss Joan really taught the fundamentals of reading and writing. It was great to see their progress. The school uses A Beka curriculum which is a little intense if you go by the book. If you ask me, too much memorization of patriotic documents--but that comes in 4th grade and beyond.
