Old Bridge High School

Overall the school is ok but, does not offer the challenge and direction a child needs to excel or prepare for the top universities. My parents were both immigrants and were new to the college experience with respect to applications, essays, etc., OBHS did not properly prepare juniors for the prep that goes into getting college ready.

As much I said I disliked school, I'd rather have gone to Old Bridge High School than any other school. We have the BEST school spirit all year round, the best student activities, and of course the best sports!!

As far as academics go, the school offers exceptional courses that can challenge the student as much or as little as he would like to be challenged. After four years at Old Bridge H.S. and having been accepted to my top three schools (Cornell, UPenn, and Hopkins) I can honestly say that the demand and rigor of the Honors and AP courses prepared me for the college classes that I am now taking at Cornell.

I have 2 children in the HS . I find if you are looking for special eduaction its a good HS , otherwise they have low test scores and have been a school in need for several years now. Im not a fan of the the 12 period schedule , there is less learning time , especially when the class dont settle down for 10 min. I have a freshman who I am transferring out to private school.

OBHS is a great school. My daughter is now a senior and my son is a freshman. As far as the academics go, my children are both doing well. I know my daughter will be ready for college in Sept. My son is taking honors classes and is being challenged and is also doing well. As far as the extracurricular activities go...there are many. My daughter has joined over 10 clubs and is kept busy volunteering. My son, though, because he is involved in sports doesn't have much time to join clubs. All in all a great school with so much to offer.

im a student at csms and ill be going into high school next year. we have millions of lectures and speaches about the school; and i know for a shuree fact that obhs is going to be the best schol ever. they really educate their students to becoming succesfull and I cant wait!

the other reviews are from a while back, but I currently attend obhs and I love it. we are way more school spirited than before. the building is huge, and we now have a different building for the freshmen because of the growing student population. there are various clubs, and I am looking forward to another great year at old bridge.

My son is a freshman at OBHS and after coming from all honors classes in CSMS, I have no complaints. The teachers are competent and care about their students. There are many activities for students to be involved in. I guess it depends on the crowd, as it would with any school, but we have had no experience with any drugs. I look forward to my son and then daughter getting a good education from obhs, and going on to college.

The courses offerd are of a wide range and the teachers are competent. They have great extracurricular activities for the students to join. There is one for everyone ... music club, art club, FBLA, gaming club ... and if u dont find any which u like.. you can start your own club. Level of parent involvement is very low. And lastly i would like to say a few things about the 'NEW' east campus. The new wing is well made, it has WIDER hallways, brighter lights and better classrooms. However, it lacks stairways. Students who have 2 back to back classes in the new wing have to travel around the world to get to thier class. The new wing has wider hallways, but this dosent make the old one wider. The integration of the campuses was a good one for the administration but not for the students.
