Excellent staff. Very neat and organized. The only flaw is that no bus service. Other than that very good school.

This school is average. Just that. The class sizes are way too large. There is a heavy focus on standardized test scores. Many parents are heavily involved in the school and there is good school spirit, which is why I cannot say that the school is below average, however, the curriculum needs to be polished. My child had 3 years there of average and below average teachers. Eventually we left the school which was a great decision.

Special services are very bad. Not enough aids for kids. I do not recommend this school at all.

The principal, teachers, parents, and PTO really work together for benefit of the students. I am always impressed with the Principal Bauer's enthusiasm. He is outside every morning rain or shine greeting the kids by name; my principal never did that when I was in school. Overall, everyone is extremely dedicated to the academic achievement and overall well-being of all the students.

This is simply the BEST school. The principal is an awesome leader who comes out and greets the children every morning, knows their names, helps parents out when dropping off kids who are experiencing anxiety, makes school activities fun for children because he is involved. The teachers are nice, pleasant and highly qualified. This is the main reason why we are staying in Maywood. Maywood Memorial school is the best!

The principal, Mr. Bauer, along with the teachers. He is just amazing. He meets and greets all his students daily. He makes it a point to know each and every child's name. During holidays and schools events he actually gets dressed up in costumes to make the kids smile. Think back to when you were a child, our principals were unapproachable. Mr. Bauer is far from that stereotype. Also, if having an issue with you child, he is there for you 110%. Not having a perfect child truly brings out the real character of the teachers and principal involved and they have all been amazing. I have plenty of details that will support that statement.
