This is a great school for children of all abilities. I had 2 children go through Assumption. One is very bright and the other is average. They both were very well prepared for high school. One was placed in a very high level, academic program which only 1% of the students are accepted into. The other is doing well in his classes. Assumption prepared them for what is best for each one of them. I constantly hear from their teachers - we can always tell Assumption students. The quality of their work is always outstanding and the students are usually really nice, kind kids. Personally, I am more concerned with hearing that then the fact that they didn't learn computer programming in 6th grade. They can learn that in high school or college. Learning to be kind, do your best work and be the best 'you' was invaluable in their formative years and they got that at Assumption.

This school is fine for average students and those who find themselves slightly below or slightly above that mark. If you have a truly 'above-average' student you child will probably be more challenged elsewhere. Also, if you are set on a Catholic School, St. Virgils usually scores higher on standardized test.

Assumption School will give your child the base for an excellent education. My child went onto Villa Walsh and the College of the Holy Cross. We would not have traded the foundation she received at Assumption for any of the frills offered at a public school. We believe our daughter was taught in a loving and caring Christian environment which has made her a beautiful young women today. Thank you to the staff and administration of Assumption School.

I've always been somewhat skeptical about the quality of the education my children were getting at Assumption. I dont see the penetration of technology and specialized programs in the class material that I see in the public school. The computer class consists of the class playing educational computer games, etc. However, I am happy to see how well my children has done for themselves after graduation from assumption. I think the staff and infrastructure could use an infusion of new energy, but the base is sound.
