Today at their holiday Christmas show I witnessed their special needs program on stage with the rest of the k-8 graders and at the end of the show one of the autistic children let go of his teachers hands and started to dance on stage and the teacher gave him a high five and was cheering him on. He was happy and she encouraged it even if it looked as if they would try to get him to stand with the rest of the children they didn't they let him finish.

Effective school leaders: Strongly agree

Principal is fearless at making sure she balances what the best way to approach learning is as well as finding interesting ways for children to engage and express themselves through learning, and when all teachers are following her lead the parents get treated with exhibitions of this leadership through organized school functions and family events

Develops character: Strongly agree

Every student I have seen looks comfortable at Louise a. Spencer

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

At my sons last school he rarely came home from school and really knew what homework was about. I can tell a lot about teachers by the way the child retains the information taught to them and at this school my son can come home and go straight to work completing and understanding his assignments easily

I previously resided in the Bronx ny, I must say Louise a spencer is a relief. They provide all day schooling 8am- 6 pm they provide three meals a day from 7:30am-6 pm. The faculty is stern but caring so it is like a family. The school also is small so everybody knows everybody and your child never is lost in the system with them. I love Principal Pelligrone and Mrs. W. I rate the school 5 stars.

My daughter was a 3rd grader at spencer. Her first teacher had a attitude problem, and was disrespecting my 9 year old. The second teacher was much nicer. Mr brown the princeable of the school seem to care a great deal for the students, as well as the parents concerns. They didn't bring enough homework home, and when they did it was so poorley printing the child couldn't even read it. There were no after scholl activites..Ie soccor baseball cheerleading, music..Etc. And they also had to many unnessary days off from school. I would not recomend to school to any parent no matter what the grade of ther child is.

I moved to pa. This year only to find out my daughter was so far behind. Its like she learned nothing. The principal was great. But you need more than that.

This so really needs a lot of work. To live in a neighborhood that is unsafe but to send your young child to this school is even worst. There is to much violence in this school most of the students are really out of control. And the Authority figures act just like the kids. How can a teacher come teach a class with cleavage hanging out of her blouse what kind of example are you setting for our children.
