My son is in Kindergarten. So far, I feel the school is challenging and the staff is supportive I am happy with the school.
My daughter is now in 2nd grade adn is having such a great experience at school. Every day she can't wait to go and she has learned so much. She has loved all 3 teachers so far and calls them all her favorite. I couldn't be happier with the academics and the staff support.
Our children have had a hit or miss experience at Judd, and though there are some amazing teachers there are also some awful ones. The really poor teachers don't seem to last long, fortunately. Overall the parents are great and very involved, and the music programs are wonderful. The gifted programs have been ok. For special ed, the caseworkers are not easy to get ahold of or particularly helpful. Although we found the preschool program wonderful, we have not been happy with the special ed program during K and 1st.
The special ed case workers are not so terrific. They are narrow minded and irresponsible. The special ed teachers and therapists are pretty good.
I love Judd! As a child my brother went to Judd so you could say that right now I am a parent that has gone through North Brunswick schools. I can honestly say that Judd is a better school then John Adams. My daughter went to John Adams last year and she is doing so much better this year in Judd. They transferred her to Judd because of the over crowding issues in John Adams. The staff is amazing. They are very approachable and always have the best interest of the child in mind. I am now fighting to keep her in the school since the board of Ed wants to send her back to John Adams since that is the base school for our neighborhood. Again the staff is great they have a fabulous after school program. And they guide the children learn new and exciting things.
Judd School is a great school that really care about it's students. My son graduated last year from Judd and really missed it. My daughter now attends the school and the teachers are wonderful, caring people that really care about the education of the children. Wonderful programs and great gifted and talented program.
Judd has been a wonderful experience for both my son, fifth grade and daughter, second grade. Each and every teacher gives their all. Besides the excellent academic programs, music, art and p.e. there is a strong PTO which has a high level of parental involvement. The PTO has many fun and exciting programs/fundraisers each year.
This is the best school my son has attended! My son was in the special needs class last year and it was wonderful! The teachers are wonderful and caring and so it the principal as well as all of the office staff. I wish my son could have stayed in Judd but they have too many children. The parents are also wonderful, the parties were super and all of the little things they did for the kids were great. My son misses this school.
I have little use for this school. Besides multiple items being stolen from my first grader's desk and coat rack, with little care from the administration, the 'security' is deplorable. They preach the need for id checks, etc., which I agree with, but they don't do it! I wandered in there one morning with a brown box in my hand, full of cookies for the bake sale. Nobody knew me, and nobody cared! Nobody questioned who I was or questioned why I was wandering around and leaving a strange brown box in the front hall of the school. I'd hate to think that some psycho could do the same and harm the children. The classmother 'cliques' are also rediculous. They seem to feel threatened when another parent wants to help who is not one of the official 'classmothers'. This school is terrible! I'm glad we're getting out of there soon!
I am so proud to be a parent with a child in the Judd Elementary school. The principal is outstanding and dedicated as are the teachers and staff. They have a wonderful music program both chorus and instrumental.
