This is my kids first year at Cedarbrook. Coming from another school and town this school is much better that the other schools. I still don't know why people are saying that this school is bad. My kids are doing so well, they are learning a lot. Yes the Principal, Mr Asante is doing a great job, my kids love him a lot. He shows them respect, care and love. I love about all the activities they have for their students. I don't know why this school is rate so low(2) when in fact they have students with high grades. I love this school and I will rate # 8. Yes # 8 just because they need to get more more parent involved. PATT need to work more hard in getting parents involved, we need more flyers or more advertising or copies of their events. I will recommend this school..

5 stars-Cedarbrook hands down is the best elementary school in Plainfield. I am not only a parent of a student here, but I also went to this school as a student. The parents are very involved, the teachers care deeply and the Principal is young and dynamic. I will recommend this school to any parent.

This is my daughter's fifth year at Cedarbrook. The school is not bad, but it could and should be a lot better. There is a problem with a number of unruly children that disrupt the learning process. I would like to see the expectations raised for parents and students.

This is my daughter second year there and she's in the 4th grade. I think that the school work can be more challenging. She finishes her homwork very fast and hardly ask for any help. She says that it is review. How often are they reviewing. They shouold offer a gifted and talented program. I think that the kids can benefit from it, especially the ones who are more advanced.

Cedarbrook School is the best school ever, it has good teachers, a good principle and vice principle, and they teach the kids so well. I wish when I was a kid I had a school like that. Thankyou Cedarbrook, for helping my child achieve his dreams and becoming a teacher just like you. Thankyou.

My son is in 1st grade at Cedarbrook. It is a decent school with a helpful staff. It has strong Parent/Teacher leadership with parents involved more at the classroom level than whole school. My concerns with the school are around curriculum and testing. Its unfortunate that the emphasis is on testing and students that need improvement, when I believe there is a large population that would benefit from a gifted and talented program or more enriched experiences. The music and art classes are average. However, there is an abundance of extracuricular activities available throughout the community.

My 3rd grade son goes here and the school has not lived up to our expectations. They give the children homework from copies because there aren't enough books to go around. There seems to be little focused on the children and the work is not at all challenging.
