Looking back at my years at Princeton Day School, I can truly say that this is an exceptional community. I now work as an administrator in a similar independent school, and I look to PDS as a model of an innovation, as well as a model of how schools can nurture the whole child. When I think about my success in college and graduate school, I give PDS full credit. It is a great school.
PS. All high schools have a problem with substance abuse, regretfully. PDS has a no-tolerance rule which is tougher than in other schools in the area. We know of more problems in many of the "other private and public schools" around PDS, than in PDS. It is more nurturing and more one-on one with students, which is always a plus.
The best high school experience I could have ever asked for. I cannot attest to how much PDS helped me academically, socially, and physically. Great athletics and a real sense of community can be found here in comparison to other elite private schools in the area. The teachers are some of the most helpful and caring I have ever met, and have true personalities behind their intellect. They really want to see the students succeed. PDS has given me a network of great friends also, whom I communicate actively with though out my days at college. The school has a great college counseling office that helped me get into a phenomenal school. Best decision I have ever made was attending Princeton Day.
This is an absolutely exceptional school. It is well run and truly does prepare it's students well for the real world. I have no complaints, and neither do my three kids who attended.
Not a great school if you want your kids sanity intact by the end of it. Great academics but huge issues with illegal substances.
Outstanding school! The impact it has had on our son and the rest of the family was amazing. Having children in the private school system in Princeton we can say that PDS clearly stands out above the other schools in the area. Our son was more than prepared for the next stages in his academic journey in all aspects. PDS focuses on what is best for the students. Outstanding Faculty and Curriculum!
This school is magicical. I don't think there is one single child who wakes up with tummy aches and says "I don't want to go to school". The teachers are a cut above, all of them. I wish I had attented Princeton Day School when I was a kid, how different things could have been. I was one of those kids who had tummy aches and dreaded going to school. I was so worried my kids would be the same way. I was wrong to worry, they are thriving and having the time of their lives. Thank you PDS.
The learning experience at PDS was fairly similar to a college curriculum. The flexiblity of options, focus on writing skills and school spirit was a wonderful pre-cursor to my college years. More importantly, my best friends remain those relationships that were formed at PDS.
My son is about to graduate after 6 years here and it was an incredible experience for him. He has learned so much and has matured. I know the rigorous challenges are not for every student and my other child left the school, but she still learned a great deal. Because of the school's small size, he was able to have significant roles in numerous extracurricular activities that were led by amazing instructors.
My son has attended PDS for 5 years, I have found the highest quality of teachers and an outstanding curriculum that keeps him excited and happy about attending school.
This is just an Amazing school that has opened up so many doors. My other child went to The Lawrenceville School, and now I see that she should have went here. PDS is so much better than The Lawrenceville School
