I love the teachers and the students, both are very caring.
I'm fortunate to have 2 children educated in our small town school. Each of my children every year have been so happy with their teachers. They truly go above and beyond with all of the students. My daughter was in the gifted program, she was challenged in a way that was fun for her, yet truly stretched her creative, cognitive and logical thinking abilities beyond what I could of expected. She was encouraged to participate in a multitude of activities including sports, Safety patrol, student government, band, chorus and so much more guiding her growth into a well rounded student. My son on the other hand, doesn't do so well academically, but is still challenged in a way that doesn't stress him and encourages his learning. Keeping the character program is ALWAYS a priority at our school, encouraging the students to always respect each other. Our small town school gets the community involved in the many family involved functions provided courtesy of our school. The children and families count down the days to the Pumpkin night in the fall....all the students bring in their own decorated pumpkin for the highly competitive but fun contest. Games, face painting, snacks and contests are just some of the many additional activities of the evening. Families also look forward to Breakfast with Santa, students bring toys for the needy children, enjoy great crafts and games with their families and children even shop in the low priced santa shop for their families where volunteers even help them wrap their gifts. These are just a few of the many activities that encourage and support a strong parent/school connection. With all this....our Riverside Elementary truly is the best school...always keeping in mind that families and teachers together are the most important team with the most important job.....to raise a child.
I love that we have a small close knit school. It's like one big family!
My son went to Riverside Elementary and had a very positive experience in the 3 years he was there. All the teachers really get to know the kids and work closely with the parents. Kim J
So far, so good! It is nice to have a school that is so 'reachable'. The teachers are very informative and always there for you. My daughter loves Riverside Elementary! Tina
I love Riverside school and the teachers are super. I feel like my child gets personal attention because it is such a small tight knit school.
I have had two children go through Riverside. It is a great school. My children were well prepared for each grade and the teachers really are involved with the children.
I am a parent of three students in Riverside Elementary. I am very satisfied with the school, teachers and the principle. However the parental involvement is disgraseful. There are over 625 students in the shool but there is an average of 10-15 parents at the monthly School and Family Meetings. Parents need to take a more active roll in theire childrens school. Get involved you and your kids won't regret it!
