My daughter will be graduating in a few months from Hills. She has overall had an excellent experience. She was involved in athletics, the music program and several school clubs and they were all excellent. I read the earlier posts regarding allegations of bullying and harassment not being addressed by the staff, and I must say this has not been my experience. My daughter was harassed all through grammar & middle school and it was *not* addressed; she had one incident the first week of high school, I spoke to the principal and he came down on the offender like a ton of bricks and it stopped. So I believe they have learned their lesson. Overall I have found the atmosphere to be supportive and nurturing. There will be always be one or two teachers who do not live up to expectations, but the vast majority have been great. I feel it did a great job preparing her for college and giving her some other life skills as well.

During my tenure as a student at Morris Hills, I was harassed and bullied. My parents asked the administration to intervene, and nothing was done. If your student does not have an A+ average with many after school activities, they do not care. They are only interested in bragging rights. I advise parents to avoid sending their children here if possible.

Morris Hills is an amazing highschool that offers the children many oportunities to interact with one another. There are many social clubs, sports, and activities available. After my husband and I heard great reviews about it we decided to have a look at it and we loved it. Currently my two daughters are enrolled and they have a lot of fun. Not to mention Morris Hills is ranked Top 30 Public Highschools in New Jersey. If your looking for your kids to recieve a better education, I defintely recomend this highschool!

My daughter a sophmore at Morris Hills HS has had a group of girls harrassing, threatening and taunting her since the beg. of the yr. i have visited the school on several occassions to resolve this problem and have got the run around from the faculty. The principal is clueless and helpless, i told him to set up a mtg with the students/parents & faculty to resolve this. He said 'that would be too time consuming'. The school was in the newspaper, the article was about the violence rate rising. the principal told the students to tell their parents that the article was not true. the school is not safe and the faculty & the superintendant's office are of no help in resolving and making the school safer.

MHHS has failed the AYP for Leave No Child Behind - and it shows miserably in their daily attitudes toward our children. It is truly unfortunate that the Admnistration has taken a Public School and catered to educate only the very brightest (guaranteed kids of those happy parents that rated this school favorable.) Look at the drop out rate - you'll be frightened - and compare it to other public schools - FYI - it's generally a white, middle class sending district and approximately 50 students dropped out of my son's graduating class over the course of those 4 years. Someone should be looking deeper into the problems of this school. The public should not be allowing the 'loss' of any child's right to receive an education. Witnessing 50 per graduating class is simply a crime.

This school is a great school. There are many opportunities for students to take a variety of AP courses and other rigorous subjects to prepare for college. Additionally, there are many other options for students of all levels, such as a detailed auto mechanic shop class, and work study programs. There are also numerous extracurricular activities and independent study classes where students create classes to learn things that are not offered (macroeconomics, landscaping, and photography are three examples). Students are prepared for life after school. On the down side, there are a few select teachers and school councilors that parents should be wary of, however for the most part, the faculty is excellent.

Don t blame a school for your lack of ability to raise your child. The school in great and the teachers are fantastic. The only complaint is the new principal but I am sure he will adjust. The atmosphere of the school is wonderful and the curriculum is varied and plentiful. My child is doing great since graduating from Hills and I would not hesitate to send any child to this great school.
