My daugher is now in her 3rd year of attendance at Sacred Heart and I could not be happier with her school work and she absolutely loves going to school every day! She has been taking Spanish since Kindergarten and can speak and read in Spanish quite well. The school has many activities for children, all age appropriate, the Robotic Club, the Aviation Club, the Gardening Club, the Baking Club, The Chess Club, Jeopardy, Instrument Insruction, Basketball for both girls and boys, Cheerleading, Zumbatomics and a Drama Club. The students are enthusiastic and community minded. Sacred Heart is just a great school and I am very happy witih my decision to enroll my daughter.
the school is a very good school but you dont have much sports or extra curicullar activities to pick from.the spanish and art program has some issues with its own but other than that the school is good.
My son really enjoys attending this school! The children are very welcoming and the parents are so kind! He absolutely loves his 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Dennis! I appreciate how she works with different levels of children. You can tell that she is a great teacher who takes time with the children, as well as always making time to post homework information on the school's website. This extra effort demonstrates a teacher who gives her all and more! Sis. Marie is fantastic, and is definitely an asset to Sacred Heart School!
My daughter attends Sacred Heart School. I think it's a fine school with excellent parental involvement and learning environment, very good teachers and the students themselves are nice and polite. My only problem is with the curriculum. My daughter struggled with math at another catholic school she attended before Sacred Heart receiving B's and once a C. At Sacred Heart she is getting A's across the board. When she took the terra nova test this past spring, she scored somewhat below average in math in comparison to the national average and that is a concern for me. She told me that some of the problems on the test were problems that weren't covered yet in her class. I don't blame the teachers since they are following the curriculum. The administrators and/or the Diocese need to examine this and correct this before our children are behind academically when they attend high school.
Great School! Great Faculty! Great Education! My son attends Sacred Heart in SA. He loves the school and he can not be happier with each and everyone of the teachers there. They make learning fun, encourage and inspire him to be creative and inquisitive. The smaller classes allow each student to be an individual as well as, being part of a team. As parents, we feel blessed to have our son in a school that encourages family involvement in all activities and strengthens strong family values.
My son attends Sacred Heart. I am so impressed with the school and what they have taught my son. The summer before 2nd grade he was reading books that were on my niece's 3rd grade summer reading list at a local public school! He has had spanish and computer classes since he started in kindegarten. This school is way ahead of the public schools in our area for sure. Top notch! There is a strong sense of family and parental involvement. The children are respectful and polite and always very well-behaved.
My nephew attends Sacred Heart. The academic program is excellent, there is a lot of parental involvement and most important it provides a child- centered spiritual base. As a public school teacher, I am impressed with the dedication of the teachers and the excellent administrators.
