Family atmosphere with a very caring and creative faculty. It's our second home ;) My daughter has grown so much here...we are so happy!
This school was once a great school. I have had 2 older children graduate from this school and 1 in 7th grade now. The quality of the teachers and faculty over the years has diminished severely. It seems that they find a way to rid themselves of the good teachers and keep hiring the ones that are only interested in the money and the benefits. I believe that they all need to look around them including the Super and Principle and their staffs and remember who this school is for. The Children are all suffering here because of all the bureaucratic garbage that goes on. The South have #1 Rated Schools because they are all for the kids and education. The North is all about the money! That's a shame.
Great school! Very homey! Great teachers! Small classes(# of pupils)
An Outstanding School The quality of education and high level of care is evident throughout this School. From the superintendent to the principal, office staff, teachers through the custodians, it can be seen and felt. If there was any one reason to live in Stanhope this school could be it. Our family could not be more pleased than we are having a child at Valley Road. We feel our daughter is getting the best education possible for high school, college and life.
I truly love this school. I feel my child is getting an excellent education & his teacher takes a high interest in her children. My child is very excited each day to go to school, to meet his friends & to learn. The first thing he wants to do when he gets home from school in the afternoon is his homework. The homework given at this age offers a various learning edge for the children & definitely keeps them interested in wanting to learn. This school offers a great Kindergarten experience for children. This is my first year in this town & so far I am very pleased with all I have seen.
My son is in third grade and this year I put him in public school. He previously was in a Catholic grade school. My son is very shy, and I was very concerned with his transition. He is doing very well. The students have been very friendly and receptice to the new comer. He has made good friends already. He enjoys going to school this year. He is very happy with the teachers. Their discipline is much more kinder and gentler and works extremely well. I am impressed with the quality of the material he is learning. I have a detailed explanation, provided by his teacher, of his daily activities and what is to be expected of him each day. Thank you Mrs. Marra for a great job.
