My son is in 6th Grade at Edison, and is having a great experience. His teachers are all enthusiastic, really care about the kids, and challenge them in ways that keep them interested. Public Speaking, Computers, and Eastern Cultures are all part of the standard curriculum. I wish that I'd gone to this school when I was younger. It's nice to see our tax dollars put to such good use. With a great public school like this in town, there's no need to consider paying for a private institution.

My son is in eighth grade at Edison Intermediate School and has had an excellent education at the school. He participated in the Gifted & Talented Program for the last three years where he had classes on debate, economics, physics, inventions and now attends biology classes in the High School. I am grateful to the Westfield School System for providing him with the enriching educational experiences of the last three years. I would highly recommend EIS to everyone.

I took my child out of Edison Intermediate last November and have been homeschooling him ever since. Does that tell you anything? Westfield has a reputation for having wonderful schools and turning out 'extremely intelligent and well-rounded individuals', but do they tell you that that is because almost 75% of children in Westfield have tutors? If the schools are so wonderful, why do they need tutors? On Parent Visitation Day last year,I actually heard a teacher tell a student, in response to a reasonable question, 'Thank God that's not in my curriculum and I don't have to teach you that'! Enough said!
