Im exhausted from hearing parentd complain about Twin Hills. Both of my sons love this school. The teachers they have now and have had are very supportive. They are achieving above grade level. I have never heard of any fights, but my son says the only disruptions are children talking at inappropriate times. Can this be a problem? Yes, but how can you blame the school. Discipline is first learned at home, so blame the parent. As a parent we have to remembet no mattet what school our children attend, we need to reinforce what the teacher has taught our child at school in the home. TEACHERS CAN NOT DO IT ALONE. Instead of complaining do something...join the PTA, attend school board meetings, attend open house and parent conferences, write or email your child's teacher with any questions or concerns, talk to your child about his/her day and ask what did they learn, and STOP blaming others when you have done nothing to help the situation improve in the areas you see need assisting. My children and I like Twin Hills. I plan to continue to send them there and cant wait until my daughter can attend pre-k next fall.

The principal does not respect the rights of parents and has no problem disrespecting parents and treating them as if they are elementary aged students.

Willingboro schools is a prime example of how politics and education don't mix. Too much of the administration and school board are "buddy buddy" - people promote and hire friends and family at the loss of good solid teachers. The loudest, most ignorant parents and their kids are the only people who benefit anything - at the expense of everyone else. Teachers have no control, but it's due to a lack of follow thru from the Administration. Willingboro needs to return to their "no tolerance" ways of old - REINSTATE in-school (and utilize out of school) suspension, and the ALTERNATE school for the horrible kids who only go to school to make everyone else miserable. There are some truly outstanding teachers in this district who are mistreated b/c of all the cliquey buddy buddy' ing that is going on. It's a shame how fast this district went downhill.

My nephew started 1st grade late. I wasn't able to get him registered until January '09. His teacher, Mrs. Lee and the principal worked with my nephew and I to work up a learning plan, teach him skills he never had a chance to learn, and advocated for him all the way. If not for the teachers and staff at Twinn Hills Elem I don't know what i would have done. I am so grateful for their interest and hard work. He will be starting 2nd grade there in a few hours, and I am looking forward to working with his new teacher Mrs. Robinson.

I must say that initially I really liked this school. My oldest son went through pre-K to 1st grade and because he did well he excelled, the teachers assisted him. I advocated and fought to have my youngest son attend the pre-K this year. Well, this was a big mistake. The pre-K teacher initially said how cute and funny my son was when I was concerned about his academics. When I kept bringing it up to her she made the excuse that boys learn and develop differently than girls. Well, now at the end of the school year she has said that my son hasn't learned enough to go onto Kindergarten. Now she is complaining about his silly behavior and that it's disrupting the class. Everyday she is calling myself for my husband. The principal was attentive to our concerns, but it's too late the school year is up.

Principal acts like she wants parent envolvement and then does everything in her power to hinder parents being envolved. Staff constantly yells at students and show very little imagination in being able to control situations in a sensible fashion.

My son went to Twin Hills in Pre-K and I loved his teacher and the quality of his education. Then in 1st grade things got really bad. He had 4 teachers in one year and the Principal was of no help to me. She talked to me as if I was nothing and she knew it all. I thought that the main issue bringing down the school was its poor leadership.
