CEC provides excellent opportunities for students that they would not find otherwise. Either the programs can't sustain at the high schools or they cost too much, but at CEC they can be offered to anybody. Transportation is provided, which is great in these times of escalating gas prices. The teachers are top notch and the administration is responsive.

the level of parent involvement is really low. teachers do not encourage students to pursue in other activities such as student government and additional extracurricular activities. the fact that absences dont count as excused when it is trully excused for an activity happenning at the students home school is absurd because the students that are involved in their school and academics are the most affected.

The APS Career Enrichment Center (CEC) is an excellent resource for all students in the APS system. It draws high school students from around the district and allows them to come together for classes that could not be offered in any individual high school: advanced courses in professional fields like computer science and nursing, various trade classes, unusual language classes like Japanese and Chinese, and near-college-level courses in traditional subjects like physics. As a former student, perhaps the best recommendation I can give for CEC is that is was critically important to the success I enjoyed through college and in the pursuits I've taken up since then.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
