Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

This school is average...It used to be a five star rating, but has declined in the past two years. If you are looking for children activities, parent nights, an active school in the community, this school does not have that any more. Teachers are awesome, but it is not the same.

It is the best school in ABQ! My children all loved it and went away with so much from there!

It's a small school where parents have the ability to be hands-on and take an active role in their children's education.

Because of the passion of the teachers there, they really love teaching our children.

What impresses me at this school is the hard working teachers. They put an unbelievable amount of time and effort into preparing for their teaching day!

I have two kids ending their second year at this school. their teachers are great, one is a little more strict than I prefer though. Mr.Alzaga was a great principal but is now gone, wo we will see what happens.

My son transferred mid-year from an APS charter school that was just too far to go. While I feel he was learning much more at the charter, CP has been a good alternate choice for him. The teachers are genuinely involved, and will interact with each other concerning kids they've had. It is unfortunate that we're losing our principal. That can potentially wreck a good school. We will miss you, Mr. Alazaga!

My son is so happy. We love this school. The community of people at Collet Park are so kind and want the best for their children. There are also many parent volunteers in the classrooms. Parent Volunteers keep teachers on their toes. If a teacher is comfortable with volunteers then they are comfortable with their teaching.

I have 2 daughters at CP, a kindergardener and a first grader and I am so happy with everything about our school! We have a great staff and the teachers are exceptional. Our PTA is very active in school activities and my childreh couldn't be happier (they even want to go to school when they're sick)Our parents and community are also very active (out of ~400 students, we have a 100-member PTA and good turnouts for our events. We get lots of support from Community Partners. Our library is thriving under the direction of Leslie Mulcahy and our principal Mr. Woody has great rapport with students and an open-door policy for parents and staff. Good Job, Collet Park!
