The school has undergone many changes in the last couple of years. New leadership, new teachers, and a new school. Tohatchi Elementary school is experiencing success and has a lot of staff members that really care.
Facilities are moldy, crumbling, dirty. Some excellent teachers, some shout/scold children. Principal has banned recess in all grades. The primary grades building has full-sized, handicap height commode for the little ones. Music and PE once a week. No extracurricular activities because the gym is in such bad shape. No Parent association. Can't recommend this school, but people here have no other choices. Administratively heavy district is more interested in paying their own salaries than in helping out of town schools. May God have mercy on their souls.
