The teachers are very attentive to your child's needs and very communicative. The experience has been wonderful for our family so far! It's almost like everyone at St. Joe's is a family. One of the things that has impressed me a lot is that the children learn public speaking very early, and very quickly lose their nervousness to speak in front of a large group of people. Academically, my child has come out of Kindergarten knowing how to read, add, and subtract very quickly. The teachers that he has had so far (he started when he was 3) have been very willing to work with us if there is ever a concern, and communicate often. If I send a message to his teacher, a return message is always sent back to me within the day. Good values are also reinforced, not just religion, but how to treat people and be respectful. My son loves to go to school, and that makes me happy. They also have affordable before and after school care, which my son loves the most about school, because it gives them opportunity to play with and interact with other children in different classes and grade levels. I would definitely recommend this school to others.
Mrs. Wilmot was my son's favorite teacher. She was everything we could have asked for in a teacher, and went out of her way to make my son's school year the best it could have been. Her kindness and patience are second to none.
As a parent, and speaking on behalf of my children, St. Joseph has been and is an excellent school. The school teachers are dedicated, highly qualified professionals who really get to know your child. There is the expectation of respect toward all people in the school, toward each other: students, staff, administration, teachers and parents. Students from St. Joseph school graduate from 8th grade prepared and ready to achieve in highshcool. Extra curricular activities have expanded over the years to include more athletics and instruments. The arts, music and technology classes are as excellent as the core school curriculum.
