My daughter attended kindergarten here. She was in a class of 26 children but had a very good teacher who kept me informed of her progress. The school overall is disorganized and we often find out about things at the last minute or events we were notified of just don't happen. The school offered free tutoring after school for all the children. Although we didn't utilize this, I thought it was a great option to have. The administrators and staff seem to really care about the kids. I am sending my daughter back to the school next year.

I absolutely dislike this school, the teachers are rude to the children, way overcrowded, the only this like about this school is their Head Dean Mr. Brown, very nice person and works with all the children, too bad he's not a teacher. Try to avoid this school at all cost

P.S. 6 is an excellent school. One thing I am concerned with is how much homework the teachers give the kids. There are days that my son barely has time to take a shower. I am all for homework but too much homework. Any wonder why kids, in junior and high school start to skip classes. I don't want my son to hate school. Also, why do the parents have to pay for hot lunch for the weeks that the kids are not in school, such as spring break, winter break and christmas break.

My daughter sarted school here in grade 3 in September and I am happy to see the teacher and principal take interest in the children's education. I have had the opportunity of hanging around in the school a few mornings and I am totally amazed at the behaviour of the children as a collected group. Some will be having breakfast, some will be catching up on last night movie :-) etc but the level of their voices are acceptable. I very much admire the way the school is run. I wish the government worked collectively with the school becasue I know if they had more resources they will give more to the students. The teachers and principal are doing the best with what they are provided with. I would recommend this school.

P.S. 6 has a vast array of services available for the special needs student. Thier school is totally accessible which is important to physically limited students. They provide small intergraterd classes geared towards the students needs. The have occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech services available in the school. They even have an adaptive physical education program. Staff are available for children that require assistance with feeding at lunchtime. There is a nurse available for the childrens health care needs. All this is in an all inclusive modernized facility with a large playground providing a wonderful learning environment for mixture of children from the local neighborhood.
