It's really a great school. My daughter went to Gifted and Talented program in District 26 from PS 26. I don't feel the new school is better than PS 26 at all.
I am a 2008 graduate of this school. This schoool is the most amazing school in the universe. It is academicly good and it has different activities and programs that gives parents and teacher a chance to get involved. But PS 26 isn't about helping themselves it's about helping others like classmates, friends, neighbors, etc. Almost every year we pick a theme and we fill up backpacks with donations for school, camping, etc. We ask for donations from students and we donate them to an orphanage who is unfortunate than us. I have learned many things in this school that has prepared me for the bumpy trip through junior high. I love this school it taught me many things. My education is known to me as a tree but my roots are right here at PS26.
My son graduated from PS 26 last year and I was very pleased with his teachers and the way they handle them not just academically, but also on a personal level. My other child is in 1st grade now and he is loving every moment! I am also thankful to Ms. Heimbender for being a deciplined & strict teacher but also a loveable one.
P.S. 26 is a wonderful school. My son is in Ms. Seonwoo's kindergarten class and doing extremely well. I feel infomed and included which I believe is key to a childs education. I'm pleased with the curriculum and the progress he's made since September. When I've asked him about Dr. Koski he says 'she comes to our class and gives us compliments'. My son does nothing but rave about all his teachers. He's having a wonderfual time and I'm glad we are part of P.S. 26.
PS. 26 is a great school. My daughter is in Kindergarten right now and very happy to be there. She loves her teacher Ms Bilczic, who is a wonderful person and very devoted to her work. As a parent I'm very happy with the fact that she is aware & pays extra attention to each students' needs and aptitude level and try to focus them on appropriate activities accordingly. Principal is great and gives personal attention to all students. Over all the environment is excellent and very friendly.
P.S.26 is a great school. Principal has great leadership. Teachers are nice and encouraging. I especially like Kindergarten teacher.
PS 26 is simply a geat place for children to learn. The school is first class. From the crossing guard on the street to the principal, every one is wonderful. The teachers are very intuned to their students and are in touch with the parents constantly. The PTA is very helpful and always provide up to date infromation about the school and progress. I am very proud to be a parent of a child who attends PS 26. Kudos to Dr. Koski for a fine job.
I love this school! The principal, Dr. Koski is so involved with each student and the parents. You can tell she really cares about this school and it's students. The school's standards are high, and the test scores prove it. The teachers are wonderful and are very helpful, and also keep close contact with each parent. I am proud that my son attends PS 26!
I have had 3 children graduate from ps and I would like to say the staff at this school is wonderful. Dr. Koski who is the principal has proven to be a wonderful principal with care for her students and their wellbeing. The curriculum is one of high standards with not much room for failure. This school was the best elementary school my children attended. I did not worry about safety or their education because for every meeting I had with any staff the results and the plan was ready for review and acceptance. Ps 26 is the school to send your child to. Their is diversity in this school that is amazing. My children learned of many different cultures while attending this school.
I was a former student of PS I didn't graduate butt that was my because that was my fault. PS is a good school it taught me a lot it had good discipline it has teachers that is there for the children and not for the money. It has many cultures so your child can learn about different culture.
