We are a military family and this school is the absolute worst school my childen have attended. The military base E.O. has flagged this school as the worst school district in the area. They have had to travel out and deal with this school on serval occations. The military base school laison does not like school and has had to deal with them several times on behave of the parents. They treat parents like they are idiots. You even have to go to your childs doctor for them to sign off on a paper stating that it is "OK" for your child to be givin chapstick if they need it. They are arrogent. My son has a very mild form of A.D.H.D and the school rather try to force the idea of medication just so they don't have to deal with him. My son who is only 10 years old, stepped in a muddle puddle at recess and they dragged him to the princapals office for it. They threatened to give him a refferral for this. The teachers do not have the intellenence to deal with the emtional ups and down of military children or any child with a learning disability. I would advise any military family that happens to get stationed here, stay as far away from this school as possible.

I feel that East Side School staff is friendly, knowledgeable. We are a military family and assumed that the small town would be prejudice to us......they were just the opposite. They have welcomed my entire family and made us feel very comfortable about our child's education. Kudos to East Side teachers. Keep up the good work!

East Side is a warm and welcoming place for our children to be. The staff is a team of first-rate professionals that does a fantastic job while truly caring for the children. The education our children receive extends beyond what the State requires; teaching students about responsibility for their actions, how to solve problems by talking it out, how to be respectful, trustworthy, and caring. The faculty goes above and beyond for each student; trying to find new approaches to education so that each child's needs are met and the district provides many opportunities to them for professional development. I have found all staff and admnistration, from the cafeteria monitors to the Superintendent, to be extremely hepful and caring. Great place to be!
