This school is a real 'community' in action. Students, teachers and parents work hard to ensure the school is not only a safe place for all, but provides an atmosphere that supports learning through creativity, environmental consciousness and respect for all who participate in the school life. The school operates on a shoestring, with teachers being paid little in money, but much in the joy they find as the students grow and develop into young adults. It is wonderful to see a school where the educatation is designed to meet the students needs, develop their abilities, and prepare them for college or any other career they choose in life. The local community has been wonderfully supportive to the School. Wishing all the best..and a few dollars to help, perhaps.

The Adirondack School treats every student like an individual. No child is forced to 'fit the mold.'

It's the only school I know where students are free to be themselves, without worrying about cliques, or other peer pressure. And they still get a great education!

This school has helped turn my daughter from a bored, sleeping, barely passing student to a senior applying to 4 year colleges and doing fantastic!

The Adirondack School is a great place to teach. Classes are small, so you can focus on individual student needs. The cirriculum is flexible so a teacher can spend time discussing current topics. The school offers unique opportunities to both teachers and students to be creative and experiment.

I love the Adirondack school of northeastern new york because they do not teach to the test, the teaching is individualized and creative. My child is in 8th grade doing 10th grade math!

The Adirondack School is preparing my child to enter life as a well educated, well rounded and caring participant. The atmosphere at the school fosters the individual development of each student. The teachers are free to teach to each child in a caring and respectful way. I would highly recommend this school to any parent or student. It is what education should be. We think all the staff are wonderful.
