My son is a student in this elementary school and I am constantly amazed at the care and attention he receives on a daily basis. The education he is receiving is amazing and the kids all seems geared towards learning and achievement. the teachers are all so professionsal and really care about each student. Really great experience with Ruth C. Kinney!

Don't buy into the hype of how great this school district is. We were quite disapointed with the quality education that our children recieved and are recieving. The teachers are very impatient and some seem to be there solely for the paycheck. The music program is laughable and the extra cirricular activities are slim to none. We are sending our children to private school next year. What a waste of tax money.

RCK offers help to its students. They have extra help classes before or after school depending on the teacher. They also have resource classes for students struggleing in certain areas. My daughter took advantage of both. East Islip elementary schools have a Jump Start program at the end of the summer for students that they feel will benefit from it. What the program does is review a little of the previous grade and gets them ready for the grade they are about to enter. Happy with the E.I School District.

We moved here 3 years ago and have found RCK to be a good school. Teachers are available before school and after school to help students who need the extra attention. There is an ELA class after school once a week, there is a homework club to help out kids who need it. There are so many wonderful sports clubs offered to the children, however I would like to see some more academic clubs available. The story telling club is a great example. I would like to see more of these types of clubs.
