I had signed a contract to teach with North Country School. Then the school told me the student was not coming, so they would not employ me as a teacher. They reassured me that they would try to fill the vacancy with a different class. Then they went back on their word with this as well. Extremely unprofessional, I am out of a job, extremely disorganized. Pathetic!

Education is not a privelage. If I had to choose one word to describe the staff I have met it would be "pretentious."

When I went to NCS in the 50's, it was a wonderful alternative to an abusive family. I am sure that it still is. Mike

NCS has a warm, nurturing environment where each and every member of the faculty is committed and caring. It has been a wonderful experience -- a gift -- for my son. This school teaches responsibility, has a strong sense of community, strong academics and an often non-traditional approach to learning. A truly special place.

True family atmoshere, social responsibilty and the ability to inspire each child to want to challenge themselves in every arena. Changed our child in amazing ways and inspired us as well. From charitable trips to the Dominican Republic working with orphans to ice climbing, fishing, hiking, incredible art, music & fun physical programs daily. Power point presentations (on the smart board) presented more eloquently than many top executives. 5 Week summer adventures offered in different places each year (our child went to South Pacific). Working the farm teaches work ethic, responsibility, caring for animals & proper nutrition straight from the garden. Our child is extremely well rounded, insightful, pro-active, confident and best of all, is a truly happy person. The staff is kind, they teach respect by giving it. The kids learn because they want to. This was the best life changing decision we, as parents, have made.
