The curriculum at Gardiner's Ave School is fantastic! With the help of teachers, parents and faculty our son is far exceeding the goals set forth for his grade level. Work is extensive already even at 2nd grade but we know and feel highly confident that he is getting the best education at this school. In comparison to friends kids who attend other schools on the island the curriculum at Gardiners allows the children to really expand their learning capabilities. If you are thinking about moving to Levittown rest assured that the environment at Gardiners is one your child will excel in.

I have 8 year old twins in the 3rd grade, and if it weren't for the careful watchful eye of the teachers, my one son would have become a statistic. He has been tested as learning disabled after he had problems early on in Kindergarten and was placed in the special education program. He is now in the inclusion class in the 3rd grade and what an improvement! He has come out of his proverbial shell and is scoring high on his tests! I keep a close watchful eye on his studies and I cannot thank the staff at GAS enough for all of the wonderful work they have done with/for him! Schooling is what you make of it and its not just the teachers job but the parents job to make sure you child understands and gets the help that he/she needs. Thank you GAS for everything!

I have found that you have to stay in tuned to your child and don't take for granted that the teachers will do the right thing by the student. My son was pushed through this school district from K-12 and graduated with a 5th grade reading level. My daughter was having problems with reading and math and all of her teachers from K-3 caught it but no one did anything about it. It took myself and husband to insist that she be left back in the third grade.
