A school where there is so much learning and activities going on. a place where the "kids" feel at home and are loved and participate in many activities and receive a sense of responsiblity which carries over into life and adulthood. For me as a teacher it is an oportunity to see children grow up into wonderful adults, because i teach them from kindergarten through 8th grade.

I graduated Hebrew Academy of Long Beach in the 80's Now my children attend HALB. It has continued to pursue academic excellence and teach the students morals and ethics simultaneously. Furthermore, there is nothing like going to school and seeing the Atlantic ocean from your window.

HALB gives our children a fantastic Jewish education in a nurturing environment. The children are encouraged to have a love of Torah, Mitzvot and the land of Israel as well as getting a terrific secular education with a special emphasis on reading proficiency.

Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
