I have 2 children in this school and echo the ease of the parent pick-up (even for those parents who aren't able to do this everyday). The attendance clerk is excellent, she remembered my name after only meeting me one time and I feel confident that she keeps tabs on every child. Regarding the comment below, I think they have a new principal since that comment was posted. The current principal is excellent, full of energy, knows the kids well, and runs a great morning program where the entire school gathers in the gymnasium and sings together and recognizes individual students. It's a great sense of community.

I am new to Maine Memorial School this year , from what My wife and I have seen so far this is an excellent school. The school feels very homey and the staff is very warm and inviting! I took my twin girls to the breakfast program last week and could not believe how many choices the children were offered. And again the staff was very welcoming. The most important thing I noticed was the dismissal program Maine Memorial has , They line up the parents and hold the kids by the building, as the staff and the principal (who also is wonderful)release the children one at a time to their parents and then check them off the list. I am very happy with Maine Memorial.

There are some very good teachers and a very involved PTA. The principal is the biggest problem with this school. A wonderful music department and many school activities.
