My daughter is in her 7th year at OCCS. I couldn't more highly recommend this school. With a low number of students per teacher, each student gets individual attention. These teachers really care about the kids. The Bible and Christian values are integrated throughout the curriculum. The students do extremely well in standardized testing comparing students in public and private schools accross the nation. It is also very affordable compared to other private schools in the area. I am so pleased that we have a school of this quality in our area.

Though i am a student, i must say i do like this school as much as possible. I am currently taking everything in my current 8th grade with the exception of 7th history and language. Dress down Fridays are currently in effect, however, they only happen if we raise enough money towards the end of the year. Also, the school has a sort of charm to it. Though it is not perfect, it is above average. However, i have had some problems with the teachers. One has wrote me up for finishing my homework, and though i have forgiving her i still wonder 'why?' Though the school has its problems, it is great. One thing parents can look forward to is no bullying. though we have only a few student, 18 at last count, we are all taught personally and our questions are usually not ignored.

OCCS is an excellent School. My children are reciting scripture like Psalm 121. They use the Abeka program which is accelerated. The teachers work with the individual students so they are placed where they need to be to learn at their level. Chapel is once a week. Also they are realistic in that the students may wear sneakers. There is also a dress down day every Friday in which the students may wear Jeans & t-shirts. There are field trips during the year. This year(2007) the 4-7th graders went to the planiterium, Naval Trip in Buffalo and Conservation Days at Orlean County Fairgrounds. Some of the students go to Houghton College once a year to compete. Math Olympics, Speech, Art amongst others. The High School went to Darien Lake the end of May. After Lunch there is recess. On Wednesdays they have Avantis' Pizza.
