My daughter is in 1st grade here and her teacher is amazing-- compassionate, organized and knowledgeable. The school is clean and friendly. The staff all know my daughter by name! They have also been wonderful about offering learning support services and advice. Her teachers welcome parent interaction and really listen to what I tell them about my daughter. So far, our experience has been wonderful!

the school is great, except that the class size is too big. About 25 -30 children in a class with one teacher is too much for the teach to manage and difficult for the kids to learn as well.

Love this school - everyone - from the principal on down - is so friendly & helpful and I love my son's teacher, she really does a great job and is very approachable. My only problem is the overcrowding already happening in the brand new building, and the kids that are in PS 128 that are not zoned for the school. I think the faculty needs to be more stringent in terms of 'checking up' on where the kids actually live. If the parents are giving the kid's grandparents' address, etc., because that's in the 'zone', that's not fair to the rest of us who really live within the zone of the school. And I believe that's a BIG reason for the overcrowding. Other than that, the new school is beautiful, and my son is doing great in it.

My son is in the 3rd grade he has the most wonderful teachers, yes his class is very crowed but the teachers make it comfortable for the kids and make it easier for the kids to learn, this year he took the state test for the first time, he did so well as a matter of fact pretty much the whole class passed, and I thank the wonderful teachers!!! The whole staff at this school is wonderful the principal, the parent coordinator and everyone else. I also love the fact that the kids have a dress code. I could not be more happier with this school I look forward to the new building and the fact that my son will continue in such a wonderful school!

I will tell you what the problem is....There are many (too many kids) that are not zoned for ps 128 that go there. They should be weeded out and go to the schools that they are zoned for. The end.

My child is in the double class for 2nd grade and after 'Meet the Teachers' last night I walked away saying lucky me. My child has 2 strong and experienced teachers with so many different creative ways of reaching each and every child. We are truly lucky. The schools need to be creative to fit all these kids that are looking for the best education that we can get.

Ok...lets start! Do any of these parent remember going to school when there was over 30 kids in a class with one teacher. Did we learn any less?? I only wish my my daughter was in the class room with two teachers. Yet I am very pleased to have Ms Tammer as her teacher. Every school has to deal with cuts from the government. We should be grateful that we have such a caring principal and teacher who care about our children. I also have a son in kindergarden. He is is the double room. There are 38 kids in this class. One teacher teaches while the other goes around to help. Where else can you get that type of attention. We should be overjoyed that are NEW school is being built for us all to enjoy. Mullahy

My children are entering 4th & 1st grade this September. Our school is outstanding to say the least. The level of education, love and support continue to surpass all expectation. School educators, support staff and Principal should be commended for taking our children by the hand and leading each of them toward becoming educated, loving and independent individuals. Love this school! ~K. Linden

This school is not as good as it used to be. My son was in K last year and sure they had a lot of events but he really didn't learn too much. The school has no activities for grade 1-2 only for k, 3-5. They took away computer lessons for the lower grades. There is no gym. Also if you child needs help in any subjects good luck getting it. I found that I had to be a nag to get my son the help that he needs which to me is not as good as other schools. Maybe when the new school is built some things will improve like the gym and computers. However, I believe they have the work cut out for them in competing with other schools in providing the children with the fundamentals in education.
