My son has only been in the Karafin school for about 4 mths and he has never been happier. He made a lot of friends and has a social life again. The staff is wonderful and very caring. The class sizes are very small which is great because the students get so much attention and are finally able to learn. They really make the students feel good about themselves and the teachers and staff are always willing to help the students . They want them to pass and they do donot overload them with homework. My son actually passed every subject on his first marking period. My son said he feels as comfortable in the Karafin school as he feels at home...Ithink that says it all. I wish I would have found the Karafin school years ago, but better late then never. It's well worth the trip and the bus service is great too. We looked at many schools and The Karafin school was our choice and the best choice so far. Good luck to all the parents and students I know its stressful looking for a school. I hope one day you are as happy as we are in finding a great school.

Parent involvement in higher level education is always challenging. The Head of School and staff are committed to students. My child has thrived here.

The school is kind of okay but it's not that good. It is a very small school and seems to be cheap on some occasions. It would be at least nice in a place that looks like a school. I came to tour and i was not pleased. School should do much better and i mean way better.

Our daughter enjoys the special attention and compassionate teaching staff. The school administration is particularly good and flexible to individual student needs.

Very attentive staff that give students individual attention and care. Nurturing environment with structure. Students have the opportunity to advance as much as they want given the small size of the classrooms and the ability to offer individual instruction.

Wonderful school. A very lucky find, indeed. The staff, from the director to the gym teacher are all very sensitive to the students' emotional needs. I am so grateful for having found this school for my child with emotional issues. He has found his comfort zone here with the circle of friends he has made and the teachers have given their full support and understanding. Highly recommended if you are looking for a small setting for your child. I have and shall continue to spread the word.

This is a very good small school which gives lots of attention. It is not a school for a student that has behavior problems.

Good school if your child needs remedial work in academic classes, not so good for gifted kids with special needs. My daughter went there and she hated it.

Fabulous school. The administration knows and cares about the students, as do the teachers. There are no more than 6 students in a class and if there are more than 4 students in a class then there is also a teachers aide in the classroom. Teachers

I was a former student. When I went to school here I enjoyed and looked forward going to school everyday. The teachers and staff were wonderful.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
