Looking over the dates on the previous reviews, I felt as though I needed to submit a more recent one. Little Britain staff is a caring group of teachers and support personnel. This is my child's 3rd year here, and he has grown so much. I have found the teachers easy to work with and the Principal and Assistant Principal always willing to listen and help.
this school is absolutely amazing. i am a seventh grader so i no longer go to little britain, however, i have 2 younger siblings that do. little britain is a very family oriented school. the principal is so nice and really understands kids. she personally greets each of the kids every morning as they walk into school. she really gets to know each of the students. the teacher websites are updated daily so parents know what is going on at school. the teachers and staff make the school an enjoyable learning environment. this school is amazing!
My daughter just started kindegarten at Little Britian & my husband & I have been so pleased with the school. Her teacher is great! We receive constant communication about what she is doing in class & where we can reinforce the lessons at home. We also have been warmly welcomed by the other teachers we've met, the principal & the PTO. Our family is really looking forward to being part of the Little Britian family for many years to come.
This is the best school in the Washingtonville School system. The teachers and principles are very hands on. The communications home are excellent.
I am currently one of the co-president's and have been involved with Little Britain for the past 10 years and have many more to go. This is a wonderful school and the PTO does so much the children. It makes it all worthwhile when we have special events for the children and they come up and give you a hug for the free ice cream or send you thank you notes for helping pay for a field trip. Just seeing their happy faces makes being an involved parent and board officer so rewarding because I not only touch the life of my own child but all the children at the school. I encourage all parents of any school to get involved and share in the experience. Joyce
Little Britain has an excellent staff adminisrative, teachers & support. The parents are highly involved and the pto is always contributing to make the school a great one.
Both my children have gone to Little Britain for one year and seem to be receiving a quality education. The Teachers seem to care for each student and each child is handled according to their ability with a little push to do better. They seem to be getting a good education at Little Britain. I was somewhat disappointed with the PTA programs. As compared to my childrens previous school, it seems to be less pta programs and much less parent involvement. By comparison, as well, there is less parent school communication. Report Cards are great and informative.
My children both love Little Britain! The Teachers have been wonderful. On the downside, I feel as a parent that we are not welcome at the school. I always wanted to be a part of my child's education and be active in the classroom. I am not able to do that at Little Britain.
I have two children in this school. The teachers are exceptional. The principal, herself, greets every child by his/her first name every morning as they enter the school. Saftey is always a priority.
