Amazing school that delivers on its promise and offers a unique and excellent education. A wonderful school that nurtures students to be themselves while preparing them to meet the challenges to come. Strong school leadership and a fantastic and interesting mix of students/parent body.

A school where the teachers, parents, and children work as a community towards the collective goal of helping the kids realize their full potential. I feel very lucky to be a part of this place. If you want to understand the philosophy of this school, I recommend reading "I Learn From Children" by Caroline Pratt, the school's founder. Even if you don't send your child to this school, the book is essential reading and puts your young child's development into a powerful perspective.

We love City & Country because it's a healthy and supportive learning environment where kids are encouraged to think and learn for themselves.

The teachers here are so friendly, interested in their jobs as educators, and just energetic and engaged. I think the school operates on a really unique and refreshing philosophy, especially in a time when childhood is so over-saturated with technology, tv, and commercialized toys/play.

Gosh I love the school. The teacher quality is great, and the curriculum is awesome. I think more out lunch would be cool.

All you need to do to guage the quality of this school and the result of what it calls 'progressive' education is to listen to the kids talk to each other when they think adults aren't around. These kids are motivated, smart, well-rounded, grounded, ethical people who are well on their way to becoming the kind of adults you'd want this world populated with. And, if it matters to you, many go on to high profile colleges and universities, including Ivy League...

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
