I wish I could select a negative star. This school really stinks. Children are out of control. Teachers and faculty don't care. My son was systematically bullied and while I worked as hard as I could with the system all I got was apathy. After the latest bullying incident (actually two in one day), during the follow up meeting at school today after my son was bullied (knocked to the ground/bruised). Counselor: The student who hurt your son has been suspended for a week. Later when my son showed up at the meeting he says, I m not comfortable in class today since the bully is giving me dirty looks. Counselor: But he s suspended. Son: No he s not . Me: Did anyone tell the student he s suspended? Tell the teachers? Counselor: Uhhhhhh . . . @NYCSchools fosters bullying! How? When schools' report incidents it lowers safety ratings & impacts funding. So schools hide it.

I'm very, VERY disappointed in this school. I'm a hard working student. So far, I really don't like this school. I agree on that fact that the low standards of this school lowers your self esteem if you a really smart student. I'm one of those students. I only applied because I thought this school was really into technology. And forget about that. It's basically like any other school. I can't believe this school got an A in performance. The teachers focus too much on the lower students. It doesn't give the higher standard students the ability to soar above and beyond. Not too many academic clubs or AP classes for college work. Don't come to this school.

I am a student at Arts and Tech, and to be honest, it is not at all a great school. The teachers are very impressive with many young and eager teachers that seem to enjoy their job. However, the alumni are not so great. There are many friendly people and the school has many opprtunities to make friends, but most of the students do not care about their work and have no pride that they should contain on their performance. I also strongly believe hat the low standards of this school lower the self-esteem of the students who attend and do not care about their grades as long as they pass. i am an honor student in every class and have been on the top of the school, but it seems to me like it was almost too easy. This lowered my morale and now I am no longer on top.

I am a proud alumni student who just graduated from Arts&Tech. For those freshman's to hate the school, it's because they not use to the discipline and order. I found having metal detectives keeps our children safe what so ever. You be surprise how many students would carry weapons to school if a school didn't have metal detectives...& THANK GOODNESS our school does. Teachers are wonderful. They make sure your children are at task and make them feel like they are needed, like it was their children. After schools, night schools, Summer schools, Saturday schools are provided to make sure your child graduates. Teachers put their time off aside and dedication to help every one of their students. The past was the past. This school improved by so many levels and I don't regret once into attending this school. You will satisfied with the education that is provided for your child.

My daughter is a honor junior student in art and tech. I really like that school even though school in particular had slight problems in the past got better by dividing the school into smaller institutes. When my daughter needs help in a subject they are willing to stay after school to try the best to help. The school offers dance programs, drum classes, peer mediation and much more. If I had to rate the school 1-10 ill give it a 8

I'm a freshman at ArTech and I don't recommend others even thinking about coming here. Having a bad past behind it, we're to go through metal detectors everyday. Sometimes I feel like a lot of the classes are pointless, and I don't learn as much as I wish I would there. The teachers though, make me feel as if the school is a second home for me. They are very patient, caring, and approachable, and are easy to talk to if needed. The after school programs are great, too.
