This is a uniquely diverse school, small but passionate about it's kids as well as it's staff. Because of this tight-knit community, alumni are coming back in abundance, thrilled to have their children reliving the same top education and social fun they experienced when they were their age.

My son just finished kindergarten. Mrs Charach is a good teacher. My son loved her--most kids did. PTA was terrific-hate to lose that group. Field Day went great-liked that all grades were together (but at the same time separate) maybe just a BBQ next time.

There are some teachers that go above and beyond the realm of teaching in the classroom. Third graders in Mrs. Handlers class compile research and put together an annual Wax Museum for their fellow Bay students. The fourth graders at Bay will be presenting an amazing Colonial Village in our gym next week, complete with props and costumes. Bay Elementary School has an amazing support system with their PTA volunteers. The Bay PTA makes huge strides in bringing the community together at their planned events throughout the year.

We are a military family and moved here three years age. When my first child entered Bay Elementary, he had a wonderful year. The teachers are very involved with each child. I have good communication with all of the teachers. As a Special Education Teacher, I would recommend this school to anyone who enters the Patchogue-Medford school District.

Bay elementary is a wonderful school with caring, loving and professional teachers. I have had 5 years experience with this school so far and would never want my 3 children to go to another school. The teachers I have met put in 110%. They are always accessible to you when needed, and always have your child's best interest at heart.

Teachers lack professionalism and have little resepect for parents or the community. Changes are underway with a new principal, but it will be challenge to initiate change amongst this apathetic faculty.
