This school has gone down in every way the quality of education and christian values have been pushed out the door. My child has attended this school for 10 years and will now be leaving as a result of the poor quality. I would not recommend enrolling your child if you are looking for a christian environment as they say one thing and act another.

In one year the school has crumbled. Quality education has vanished. Reputation is going down. Nobody has answers to questions. They think a new building will solve the problems. If they can't manage the school in a small building, how can they handle a larger building. Parents and students are not happy. Education, curriculum, quality of instruction and most of all educational LEADERSHIP of the school is LACKING.

The teachers have not had a raise for seven years. The ones who have complained have been fired. Then they found out that they are not even eligible for unemployment benefits because the school insists that they are missionaries, not employees. Teachers were never told of this categorization and many had been professional teachers, not missionaries, for their entire career before coming to Faith. Replacements for the teachers have been church members not certified or experienced teachers. As a result, the quality of education has and continues to plummet. It is easy to get a good grade, but your kids will have to retake classes when they move on because they won't know the material.

I do not recommend this school. The quality of education is low, communication is poor, administration and teachers is lacking in cases where there is a need to take responsibility for the children. Students are disrespectful and a lack of discipline and order is not in place in the school. They may as well change the school name to Faith Academy because they are not meeting standards for a Christian based school.

Unfortunately, the new administration has absolutely no experience with elementary or high school students. It is very difficult to communicate with the administration and the teachers seem to be kept in the dark regarding the continually changing school policies and procedures. A sad example of a once great school severely damaged by bad decisions and untrained, incompetent leadership.

Was a great Christian school. Cannot recommend this school any more. Change of leadership changed things. The admin does not return calls. When they respond, they tell parents what they want to hear but the admin does not follow through. Chaos. Appropriate books and materials are lacking. Students are disrespectful with no consequence. Students are not being prepared for regents exams. Smart kids require out of school tutoring in math and science. Many of the teachers expect the students to teach themselves. Changed from a private school that cared about the kids to a business. This will be the last year for my 2.

This school is terrible. The teachers and administration are horrible. The old principal was very good but the new administration is not involved in the school at all

"at least the leadership had the courage to replace underperforming staff" -- you have no idea what you are saying; several of those teachers had no performance issues at all. My advice to FCA parents -- pay attention to the quality you are getting and the atmosphere at FCA and draw your own conclusions. Don't let anything recently written here (including my post) convince you one way or another. There are games being played here. The school has been damaged by the recent power play that happened.

At least the leadership of FCA had the courage to replace underperforming staff! God Bless.

There are a lot of changes in the school. There are a lot of changes.

As anyone reading here can see by comments listed on this page, there is a "tit for tat" going on by orchestrated groups. This is very disconcerting from anyone , but more so from people involved in a "Christian" school. Faith Christian Academy is a fine school. My children flourished in the environment and others will continue to do so in the years ahead. The schools success is not fully dependent on one leader, but on a cohesive group of educators, parents, students and church leaders. I had heard some negative comments in my church and they seemed to be coming from a small group (some who are my friends) who are acting in a way that is unbecoming of the faith we all profess. Faith Christian Academy is a good place to educate your children. From what I have heard, any discipline problems, which do occur in all schools, are being handled better now than in the past. From what I have heard, enrollment is good and new people are attending. Please, view all the comments you read here with a grain of salt and resist an effort to undermine another groups work. No school is for every one, but Faith Christian Academy is a good, growing school that will keep getting better.

Thank you Lord for the vision that was given years ago to start Faith Christian Academy. It not only has grown in number, but has grown to have a high school. When Gods people listen to his calling look what can happen. No man can have opened doors that only God could of opened. Faith Christian Academy has been a blessing to our family for 9 years. It is a school whose Pastor, school board and staff pray and seek Gods wisdom on their knees. We are following his vision and we are humble to walk where he is leading. Our family looks forward to walking this journey with Pastor, the school board and the staff. We know God is in control! This is a great school and with God as the pilot we can't wait to see where He will take us. Thank you Pastor and school board for listening to Gods voice.

Truly a great school! I have both of my children enrolled at FCA for over 5 years since Kindergarten and am very pleased with the quality of education. While any change may not be easy, FCA leadership, School Board, Pastor, and Headmaster implemented necessary changes with integrity and courage to faithfully reflect the heart of this ministry to bless children and families with Christ-centered education. I applaud their commitment and resolve to do what God called them to do despite criticism and opposition! Come and see, this school is a blessing to the community!

I am going into 12th grade. I agree with the last 2 posts. FCA was an awesome school but changed the last year. Discipline for the high school is out of control. Nobody cares. High school kids are disrespectful and the headmaster did nothing. Rules are not enforced. High School chapels were "forced spirituality". It's all about image for the new headmaster, not about being genuine. Wish it could go back to the way it was. I would rather be in public school.

Faith Christian Academy was an excellent school but the quality spiraled down this year with the "new" administration. My child graduated 8th grade and we wanted to have her continue through 12th grade. But the quality of education, discipline and order for the high school plummeted. Many new students enrolled in the high school were low achievers and discipline problems. FCA academic and spiritual standards have been lowered. Anybody that applies, gets in. It was evident that the morale of the staff was not the same. The friendly Christian culture changed to one of deception on many levels. The headmaster is not available to take calls and doesn't return calls. Many of the good teachers have left. Our family values education and cannot jeopardize quality for high school. We have no choice but to enroll in public school.

Faith Christian Academy is first and for most Christ centered! That is best quality of our school. I am grateful that the school and church never waver in their faithfulness. The second quality that I love about FCA is the emphasis on relationships- with Jesus and others. The teachers are awesome at their jobs and love teaching. There is a very real sense of community. Your child is given the opportunity to learn and grow spiritually, physically and intellectually. FCA is a safe and loving environment that fosters growth and development in these areas. The sports programs and PE have grown under Mr Meyer the new athletic director. The entire staff is always there to help your child understand how important integrity and good godly character are in life. We love FCA!

One of the wonderful things about FCA is the ethnic diversity of the children. Statistically, this year our school is approximately 50% Caucasian and 50% from other ethnic groups. It warms my heart to see children from all different racial backgrounds playing together in my classroom with no notice of skin color. As we sing, "whether they are dark or light, they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world"

I enrolled in the high school last year. This school rocks. So much better than the public school. Classes are not interrupted by bad behavior. Teachers care about us. They are fair. I learn so much. If I have to go to school, this is the school that makes learning fun and challenging. I wish I transferred to this school a long time ago.

Faith Christian High School has a dedicated teaching staff and a standard of academic excellence. They are hands-on and challenging as well as loving and nurturing, and the principal is fair and involved. The students are respectful which can be seen by just walking through the hallways.I am thrilled to send my children there, and I am thrilled they started the high school in the first place.

I recently graduated from Faith and am now in college. The friends I made at this school will be my friends forever. The school prepared me well for college. I am ahead of my peers in many of my classes. I gained confidence and have established a firm faith in God. I know what I believe and why. I Love FCA

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
