Our family has been part of the Woodland Hill community since 2003, when our oldest daughter entered the Primary program as a 3 year old. She is now in 6th grade and has absolutely thrived over the last 9 years. The school has continuously fostered and nurtured her innate sense of curiosity and her love of learning. Woodland Hill provides an outstanding academic environment while also emphasizing the importance of character and responsibility to self and others. Children's unique abilities and interests are encouraged to develop by an exceptional group of administrators and teachers. Our younger daughter is now a student in Primary and she loves going to school! As a 5 year old, she is reading and writing each day while also enjoying Spanish, music, art and gym. Our older daughter has also been greatly enriched by the extra-curricular offerings at the school, including theater club, violin, and the school newspaper. We could not recommend this school more!

My daughter attends WHMS and the quality that speaks to me the most is that she LOVES school. She is actually excited to go to school every morning! Not many kids her age feel that way. The staff, teachers, and students all care about each other as people. Woodland Hill not only provides an excellent academic education that challenges each child as an individual,(not a group getting ready for testing -as is the case in public schools). This school also teaches about caring for themselves, and each other, as well as the environment and the world around them. These children are already developing life skills and leadership qualities that provide them with the confidence and self esteem that they will use for every aspect of their life. We are so fortunate to be a part of this community.

My daughter and son attended Woodland Hill from Lower Elementary through 8th grade. It is an amazing school filled with passionate teachers, dedicated administrators, and committed families. The Montessori method is an exciting and effective way for students to learn. All children should be lucky enough to learn thins way.

I have been going to WHMS since I was four, and I LOVE it there.

WHMS provides a stimulating and nurturing environment for children, in a gorgeous setting. Students are given a lot of independence and responsibility within a carefully structured Montessori environment. Every Montessori school has its own take on implementing the method, and this school strikes a fantastic balance - there's great attention to the method, but they also add plenty of special activities and lessons such as art, Spanish, music and gym. The parent community is wonderful. My daughter is thriving in the Primary program (3, 4 and 5-year-olds all in one room), where each child learns at his or her own pace and are working on math and reading. (!) We intend to keep our daughter at WHMS through 8th grade. I wish they had a high school. It's worth the tuition.

My sons are flourashing at Woodland Hill. My oldest son takes pride in the work he chooses and boasts about selecting challenging work, They have learned self-discipline, motivation, concentration, and a love of learning. I consider myself fortunate to watch my sons benefit from the Montessori approach to learning and life.

My children have excelled WHMS. The administration is wonderful, and the teachers are the most dedicated I've ever met. In this school, children are allowed to work at their own pace, so those who thrive when given challenging work can learn well above their grade level. They have amazing extracurricular activities, and a great aftercare program. www.woodlandhill.org

My child has found a home at Woodland Hill and as a parent, I couldn't ask for more. It is a place where the emphasis is on a love of learning rather than facts and stringent curricula. As a result, children here tend to excel in everything they do.
