My son is in Kindergarten and I am so pleased with the entire staff and the education my son is receiving. His teachers are smart , creative and take time teaching him when he does not grasp something. I am amazed at the kindness of all the staff from PT stafff all the way up to the principal. I have never went into a school where everyone appeared happy before...

P.S 254 is an excellent school. They are always open to see you when you call or walkin to the school. Principal and assistant principal are great. I just love the way they handle things at school, they care alot about all the children in this school. My son is in 5th grade and he's been there since 2nd grade. When my son did not behave I recieved a phone call right away and took care of the problem. I don;t have one complaint for this school. They do deserve to win because staff and Principal do a great job!

this school has young inexperienced teachers. im becoming more worried about this becuase the new teachers dont teach right and seem more carefree about school work.

This is the best school ever. I have two children in this school. My oldest is in the 5th grade and will graduate with an excellent education. He was admitted to this school when it first opened and the experience for him and I as a parent is exceptional. The principal's leadership and her staff love and committment for children is exceptional. My second child is in the 2nd grade and he loves it as much as his brother. I am having a hard time trying to find a school for my oldest that can match this school academic excellence, professional quality, involvement and love for children. The children are truly in a safe, loving and academically challenged environment. A dream school for any parent.

This school is far from horrible. It is an excellent school. My son is in Kindergarten and reads and writes beautifully. They are on top of their game academically. The one concern I do have is with their reaction to student behavior. The other parent reviewer is correct. The school tends to overreact. Kids are kids. Relax. Overall a great school. A jewel in the NYC Public school system.

as far as my child has been going there, I receive multiple papers for the parents to participate which is great. this way we are involved in our childs school. being a full time working mother I come home to my kindergarten child and enjoy doing homework with her everyday. this school is challenging to many others that I've reviewed. I love it..... so far no complains, lets see how the year goes

School does not inform parents of incidents that happen to their children. The school do not take one child hitting another child seriously.

This is school is excellent. I have seen how child has progressed academically in this school. My child benefits from the extra support that the teacher at the school. I feel that the teachers and the administration truly care about the students and their families.

This school is horrible. The principal is rude. I have gone to the superintendant about the way that school is run. Expect homework not to be checked regularly, teachers dont keep informed. Do your kids a favor, and don't enroll them here.
