Challenging academic programs. Caring, strong teachers that wont give up on their students. Excellent principal leadership. Lots of school activities to choose from, which I love. It keeps the students busy and active in the community. More schools in Rochester can lead by this schools example.

My son just started here in the 9th Grade Academy and we have been very impressed so far. He is in all AP classes and the teachers seem to be very supportive and willing to go the extra mile to help each student. I am also impressed with all of the programs available - AP, Project Lead the Way (with RIT), MCC Dual Courses, and of course, the International Baccalaureate program, which only a handful of schools in the area offer (I think 5 or 6?). The school will look great once the new athletic facilities are completed. We were contemplating sending our son to a private school, but the district has made incredible strides in the last decade - we are glad we chose to stay in the East Irondequoit district.

Eastridge has gotten new dynamic leadership as of last year, has expanded programs to include International Baccalaureate studies/diplomas, and is in the process of a major building and grounds renovation. The school has been named as one of the top 6% of high schools in the nation! The East Irondequoit Lancer Marching band has competed in the NYS Field Band Conference and won the state championship on multiple occasions. Sports teams, language clubs, and many other extra curricular activities are available to encourage students to participate in a variety of activities to grow active, civic-minded, multi-dimensional adults who can make substantive contributions to the world around them. The number of students who continue on college and/or who take advanced placement courses, which often include college credit, continues to rise every year.

Eastridge High School is a great school to attend. Up and coming sports, musicals, and other extracurricular are just a few attributes. The teachers give one-on-one attention where needed and great teachers to get along with. Great school.

I am very suppostive of this school district. It has so many good qualities that many people in the community overlook. Its musicals are regionally recognized for being outstanding, which for being in the audience for the past couple of year i can atest to.

This school is not as bad as it may seem. Freshman Friday is a joke. People actually are nice sometimes. The staff and our new interim principal Mrs.Grow is laying down the law. Hall sweeps keep kids out of the hallway and so far school seems good.

What a year that has started off! As a senior this year a new prinipal was just what we needed! First a senior trip, right on! My friends in the past never went to boston for the weekend! The band or sports went out of town. Smitty as we call him, talks with us as students and not kids. Keep it up in the future!
