Destiny Christian School & Preschool is an excellent school academically and spiritually. Small classroom sizes (3 to 17 students per classroom). NYS Regents program at the high school level. Section V and Christian League sports. Superb staff. Safe, loving environment. 50% off discount on tuition K-12 for new families their first year. Financial aid is available for following years for those who qualify.

Our experience has been wonderful. Our child is much happier now than she was in public school. She is constantly challenged and has flourished because of it. Teacher and principal support have been fantastic! The ability to accelerate your child's learning , if appropriate, is invaluable; the children are not forced to wait for others to 'catch up'.

I saw the website for this school and was impressed until my child was enrolled. Right from the beginning there were problems. Teachers weren't able to control the room even though there were only 10 'gifted' students. There is no counselor there for assistance and backup to support the children. The principal was also a teacher and seemed completely stressed out and irritable. No one seemed to know what was ever going on, very unorganized -- probably because it's a new school and they are lacking funding. My child did much better once I put him in public school and they were much more caring and nurturing. I saw nothing gifted and talented about this school, Very disappointing. Parents beware.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
